Choose what to share in dating conversations
Privacy is a series of personal choices, not an all-or-nothing decision.
Review the details around a photo
Before sharing an image, look for information you did not intend to include: a work badge, street sign or document in the background. Choose an image you are comfortable making available to the person receiving it. A private conversation does not guarantee that a file will remain private.
Share at your own pace
You can use the site's conversation tools while deciding whether to share another contact method. Explain your preference without apologising. Someone who wants to get to know you can accept that certain information is not available yet.
Respect the other person's choices
Ask before sharing a conversation or a photograph with anyone else. Do not treat receiving a picture as permission to repost it. If your comfort level changes, say so, while remembering that you may not be able to retrieve copies already shared.
